Foundation for Arts Initiatives of New York

The Foundation for Arts Initiatives from New York announced on its website that the KRAK Center for Contemporary Culture was on the list of winners of institutional support grants for 2020. This news was greeted with enthusiasm because it will enable KRAK for program activities and contents in 2021. At the same time, support from FfAI is a wind at the back when designing and planning KRAK's activities at the very beginning, which is additionally burdened by the global pandemic and the crisis it initiated.

The FfAI jury was led by artist Vasıf Kortun, and was accompanied by Manuel Borja-Villel, Executive Director of the Reina Sofia Art Center in Madrid; Claire Hsu, Executive Director of the Asian Art Archive in Hong Kong; Ann Philbin, Executive Director of the Hammer Museum at the University of California, Los Angeles; Sabina Sabolović, curator of the WHW collective and director of the Kunsthalle from Vienna, and William Wells, executive director of the Townhouse Gallery in Cairo.

At the very beginning of the existence of the KRAK Center, this is a pledge of the importance of this type of organization at a local level and its international visibility from a perspective such as Bihać.
